An older motel-all done to re-done to perfection! New bathtubs! Toilet and sink! The Linens were like brand new and the bed was like sleeping in a cloud! The heater was well able to handle the cold outside! And they even had a pink fridge that was a joy for this "Make mine pink" girl!! Thank you for the details that you put into room! Enjoyed our stay!!
The Stardust is a wonderful place to stay! It was very affordable and about 20 minutes from Lookout Pass which made it perfect for our 2 day ski trip! I reserved/paid online and check in/out was quick and easy. The room was cute, well kept, and did not smell weird . Complementary shampoo, conditioner, body, body wash, and lotion were provided along with a hairdryer! They also had coffee and a coffee machine. The fridge/freezer was a great size— bigger than most places I’ve stayed. Our giant ice packs fit in the freezer with room to spare. I cannot say enough great things about this cute little motel. You can walk to town easily. Lots of cute little shops and the Flying Goat is to die for. Their pizza was delicious- and they also have a gluten-free option for a crust!
This was the cutest motel with a 60’s vibe. Our room was very clean & cute! Comfy beds too! The fire pit area was awesome and the complementary s’mores kit was a bonus little treat. The hammocks between the trees and another gas fire table next to the sidewalk just added to the fun ambience. The staff were so friendly and welcoming! We will definitely stay there every time we pass through!!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stayed at the Stardust Motel in Wallace, Idaho and it was exactly what you hope for when visiting a historic mountain town. The motel has a great retro roadside vibe, but the rooms are clean, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. The location is perfect — right in the heart of Wallace, so you can easily walk to the restaurants, bars, and historic spots downtown. It’s the kind of place that still feels like classic Americana road-trip lodging, which fits the character of Wallace really well. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and everything about the stay felt easy and relaxed. If you’re visiting Wallace for the history, the trails, skiing at Lookout Pass, or just passing through on I-90, the Stardust Motel is a great place to stay. Would definitely stay here again.
My partner and I have wanted to visit Wallace forever. We started planning a trip for our anniversary. I knew for sure the place we'd stay was the Stardust. It was our first time staying and we had such a great experience!!! Staff was incredibly kind. There was super cool spooky events happening the weekend we came and we had no idea it was such a cool suprise. The rooms are so thoughtfully decorated and the most beautiful retro vibe. Down to all the signage in the room being the retro motif. We got a king bed room and my partner noticed we had 6 pillows which is uncommon for motels. Not only did we have extra cushiony pillows the bed was really comfortable. Our view of front of hotel and view from door facing alley was great. The room smelled great. Bathroom well stocked. They offer things other motels dont like extra toothbrushes, make up wipes and other essentials you may have forgotten. We felt safe, secure and so cozy. The town is so walkable with so much to do. Great staff. Friendly and helpful. Room was top notch for cleanliness and location is perfect. Everything is within blocks. Gas up before you get there though. Stop in CDA idaho or Haugen MT depending on which direction you're coming from. .40-.50 cents cheaper a gallon than Wallace.
This hotel is SUPER dated. But the refurbishment is *incredible*. What should be kind of seedy and gross ends up blowing right past that into cute. It looks like the place should have a coin-operated Magic Fingers(tm) bed and a 19" Zenith TV. Instead, you get something that is crispy clean filled with adorable Nostalgia Electrics appliances and brightly colored bedding. We joked that they charged $15 a bottle if you steal the shampoo, but at least they didn't bolt it to the walls.
What an awesome discovery!! Very clean, high quality sheets and towels. The most comfortable bed I think I have ever slept on in a motel. The vibe is retro, which I loved. The weather sucked, so didn't get to enjoy the fire ring and smores. I will definitely stay here every time I come to visit. The staff is over the top friendly, they welcomed my dogs too. Love the Stardust
